The front-loading 1600 series horizontal mailboxes were developed for use in large private institutions not serviced by the USPS, including military bases, universities, colleges, and office buildings.

The compartment size is smaller than USPS regulations, but is convenient when wall is limited space because as more mailboxes fit in each module. This 29-door private distribution 1600 mailbox units does meet all other USPS regulations.

Each tenant door measures 4"W x 5"H with a 5-pin cam lock, two keys, and a clear plastic number slot for tenant identification. Please note that one door will be used as a master door and cannot be used as a tenant door. This door, however, can still be used as an outgoing mail slot or office dropbox upon request.
